Favourite looks for July

Is it possible to be bother super busy and extremely lazy? Becuase that was the end of July early August for me.
So here’s my favourite looks for July.

An oldie but a goodie.
The Hanuted Housewife dress by Pinup Girl Clothing was one of my first ever dresses from the brand and it was love at first sight. I can’t help but feel a mix of glamour meets badass when I wear this dress. You can’t see it in the photo, but there was 2 little skull buttons on either sleeve that could easily go unnoticed to all but the wearer, making your badassery your little secret.

Another old favourite that doesn’t get nearly enough love is the gorgeous blue Birdie dress by Pinup Girl Clothing….again!
I loved this dress when I saw it online but it kept selling out in my size so I decided I’d get it in in a size up and hope my seamstress could work some magic. So I got the 2xl and crossed my fingers. There was no shortage of magic from my seamstress who was able to take it in a size, add darts to the bodice for a perfect fit and hem it. She gave me the excess that she took off the hem so with this I was able to put in a side pocket because pockets are the greatest!

This was one of those last minute outfits that worked out nicely enough. The wonderful thing about the Harlequin prints from PUG is that there’s a few colours in the print which can help with coordinating tops and accessories. This is the Jenny dress which I wore as a skirt for the day and paired with a lime green lurex top I made and coral Bait Footwear heels with lime green Dottie DeLite brooch to tie it all together.

My final favourite look of the month was another handmade piece. I feel like I always have trouble pairing this skirt with tops that will flatter rather than clash with the colours in the print. So I paired it with the plain purple top from Kmart in the hopes that the skirt and top would compliment each other and we can all just get along. I think it worked out nicely to create a really fun look for winter.
